Class of 2025 Michelle Steele of Holmdel High School (N.J.) and NJ Shoreshots Chambers U17 has verbally committed to Division II Thomas Jefferson University Women’s basketball team, she recently posted on X.

Michelle Steele is headed to Philly after graduation.

Steele, a forward, scored 219 points, grabbed 139 rebounds and made 37 steals in 25 games played during the 2023-24 season.

Steele sports a very good inside-outside game, especially shooting from beyond the arc, and gets out quickly on transition. Additionally, she is solid defender.

On top of that, Steele is an excellent athlete with self-discipline. She was an All-Shore flag football quarterback.

Plus, she has earned black belts in Taekwondo in Haidong Gumdo (HDGD), a Korean martial art focused on swordsmanship, and Hwa Rang Do (HRD). a comprehensive Korean martial art that includes striking, grappling, joint locks, and weapon techniques, per sources.ย  She is a martial arts Instructor as well.

Steel will be joining another Jersey girl on the Rams roster, Gabby Recinto, who happens to be a skilled martial artist herself.

Thomas Jefferson posted a 32-2 overall record and went 16-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action in the 2023-24 campaign. The Rams wound up losing to Daemen in the D-II East Region finals.
