The New York Mets got to see what a few of their recent free agent signee and draft pick arms were like, as pitchers Jace Hampson, Chandler Marsh and Tanner Witt were in action while bringing a measure of heat in their Saturday’s Bridge League debuts against the Cardinals.
Hampson, the Mets 18th round 2024 MLB Draft selection and right-handed pitcher from Lynwood High School in Lynwood, Calif., struck out two batters while reaching 93 mph.
Marsh, a righty undrafted free agent pitching acquisition out of the University of Geogia, fanned two hitters and touched 95 mph on the radar gun.
Witt, a 14th round pick in the 2024 MLB Draft out of University of Texas at Austin, also rang up two batters while topping out at 94 mph.
Additionally, they all showed good location to help keep hitters in check.
