Second baseman Kevin Villavicencio drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning and Boston Baro went 3-3 with two doubles, a triple and two RBI to spur the High Single-A Brooklyn Cyclones to victory over the Wilmington Blue Rocks (57-75/Washington Nationals), 5-4, Sunday at Maimonides Ballpark on Coney Island, Brooklyn.
It was the Cyclones (65-67/New York Mets) final game of the regular season.
Baro, who reached base four times, also drew a walk. Right fielder Omar De Los Santos went 1-2 with two RBI and a run scored.
Right-handed pitcher Alfred Vega notched a scoreless ninth to earn his first save of the campaign. Righty Luis Moreno (5-1) picked up the win after not giving up a run in a frame of work.
