Sophia Georgiades of Rutgers Prep (N.J.) and United P24 AAU squad has verbally committed to Division I Boston University Women’s basketball program, yesterday she announced via X, formerly Twitter.
As a sophomore guard, Georgiades drained 419 points (15.5 p.p.g.), grabbed 161 rebounds (6.00 r.p.g.) and dished out 62 assists (2.3 a.p.g.) in 27 games played for Ridge High School in the 2023-24 campaign.
What the Terriers will get is a player who owns a terrific outside jumper, is an effective inside scorer, an excellent facilitator, and exceptional on-ball defender who should conceivably improve over the next two years due to her unrelenting work ethic.
Boston posted a 20-12 overall record and went 10-8 in Patriot League Conference (PLC) action in the 2023-24 season. The Terriers made it all the way to finals of the PLC Tournament, a 61-55 defeat to Holy Cross.
