Notre Dame 3-Star HS Guard Angelino Mark Picks Rutgers Hoops Over USC, Seton Hall, West Virginia

Rutgers is on the Mark with this recruit, as class of 2025 Notre Dame High School (Calif.) point guard Angelino “Lino” Mark has verbally committed to Division I Rutgers University Men’s basketball program, yesterday per reports on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Additionally, the 6-foot-2 three-star college prospect held offers from USC, Seton Hall, West Virginia, Providence, Pepperdine, Portland, Utah, TCU, among other programs, according to VerbalCommits.com.

In addition to Rutgers, Mark whittled his decision down to three other schools which included New Jersey’s Seton Hall, West Virginia and USC, per source.

But Mark chose the Scarlet Knights because he said on X, “From the moment they recruited me, they kept it real.”

Rutgers posted a 15-17 overall record and went 7-13 in Big 10 Conference action in the 2023-24 season. But many basketball insiders consider the Scarlet Knights’ incoming freshman hoops class to be one of the best in the nation.
