Former Hillsborough HS Soccer Player Ava Fox Scores 1st Collegiate Goal for Penn State Harrisburg in Win

Ava Fox of Division III Penn State Harrisburg Women’s soccer team scored her first goal of her collegiate career in a 6-0 shutout victory over Cedar Crest (3-4-2, 1-3-1) Saturday afternoon at home.

Fox, who played soccer for Hillsborough High School (N.J.), off her left foot, fired the ball into the top right corner of the net, out of reach of Cedar Crest’s goalkeeper Bella Bozen, capping the Lions’ scoring outburst.

The former United Women’s Soccer club player has posted a goal and an assist for a total of three points so far this season.

In high school, Fox scored a marker and had three helpers as a high school senior at Hillsborough in the 2023-24 campaign.

As a junior, she tallied three goals and had five assists for eight points in the 2022-23 New Jersey girl’s high school soccer season with the Raiders.

Sophomore Julia Hughes and junior Katelyn Monette found the back of the net twice each, while Serenity Hill contributed a goal of her own for Penn State Harrisburg (5-4-3, 4-0-0).
