Whippany Park High School (N.J.) junior quarterback Brandon Giangeruso enjoyed himself one heck of game, throwing for three touchdowns and running for another, as the Wildcats routed North Warren (1-4), 42-14, Friday night on the road.
Giangeruso completed 15 of 29 pass attempts for 276 yards. But, more importantly, he did not throw a single interception. Also, he added 108 rushing yards on eight carries, totaling an impressive 382 all-purpose yards in the contest.
Four other Whippany Park (2-3) wide receivers caught passes, with senior Anthony Gagliardi corralling a 79-touchdown strike from Giangeruso.
Senior Sal Palmisano played an excellent football game, as he bolted for a 69-yard touchdown rush and had 12 receptions for 186 yards with two scores, racking up 255 all-purpose yards of his own.
Senior Leo Lima led the Wildcats’ defense, sacking the quarterback twice while making six tackles.
North Warren freshman signal caller C.J. Mamay made good on nine of 13 passes for 141 yards and TD. Sophomore wide receiver Zachary Paseler caught five passes for 107 yards and a touchdown.
