Christ the King’s Johnny Magna Receives D1 Basketball Offer from Illinois

Class of 2027 Johnny Magna of Christ the King High School (Queens, N.Y.) and Riverside Hawks has earned an offer from Division I Illinois Men’s basketball program, yesterday sports media outlets wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Additionally, Magna holds offers from Manhattan and East Carolina, according to VerbalCommits.com.

A rising standout guard, the 6-foot-3 Magna made Pangos East All Frosh-Soph Top 30 over the weekend, per PD Web.

The Fighting Illini posted a 29-9 overall record and went 14-6 in Big 10 Conference action during the 2023-24 campaign.
