The New York Mets will bring back an effective part to their 2024 bullpen–when he was healthy–as they have agreed to a one-year deal with right-handed pitcher Sean Reid-Foley and will avoid arbitration.
Reid-Foley, 29, posted a 1.66 ERA with 1-2 record and 25 strike outs over 21.2 innings in 23 games. But a right shoulder impingement had him missing Opening Day and came back in June, and ultimately cost him the rest of the 2024 campaign.
While the Guam-born reliever has been formidable when not injured, Reid-Foley has averaged just 13.1 frames per season over the last five years.
