After Patrick Tackie of Hinds Community College and formerly of A. Philip Randolph High School (N.Y.) visited Kansas State University, he knew that was the school he would wind up committing to, to study and play football for its Division I program. So, that is exactly what he did, today he announced on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Tackie, a sophomore defensive lineman from the Bronx, N.Y., held offers from UMass, the University of Louisiana Monroe, Western Kentucky, Jackson State, among others, per his X account.
The 6-foot-6 , 285-pound Tackie made 12 tackles, two for a loss, and had one forced fumble in nine games played this past season with Kansas State.
The Wildcats are 8-3 overall and 5-3 in Big 12 Conference football action so far this season. Kansas State will travel to Iowa State Saturday 6:30 p.m, for a Big 12 conference tilt.
