St. Francis Episcopal Guard John Laboy II Commits to Columbia Lions Hoops

Class of 2025 St. Francis Episcopal (Texas) guard John Laboy II has verbally committed to the Division I Columbia University Men’s basketball program, he recently announced on x, formerly known as Twitter.

In addition to the Lions’ offer, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound point guard/shooting guard held offers from Florida International, Texas State, New Orleans, Riverside, Lamar and Sam Houston State, according to VerbalCommits.com.

Laboy also plays for the St. Francis Episcopal Baseball team, manning the shortstop position, and is a right-handed pitcher.

Laboy is a shot-maker, excellent dribbler that allows him to get to the hoop and score and is a tenacious defender.

What this video reel to see his hardwood skills.

Columbia posted a 13-14 overall record and went 4-10 in Ivy League conference action in the 2023-24 campaign.
