Abby Antognoli, a Bay Head N.J., native and an ex-St. Rose High School guard, scored her 1,000th career college point for Lafayette College Women’s basketball team (2-5) Sunday in a 60-54 defeat to host Monmouth (2-6).
Antognoli, a senior, scored a total of 16 points in the game. She became the 21st player in Lafayette Women’s basketball history to reach the 1,000th-point milestone after drilling a three-pointer from the corner midway through the fourth quarter.
Junior guard Kay Donahue also tallied 16 points, while senior guard Halee Smith contributed 13 points in the loss.
The Leopards host New Jersey opponent Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
