Southwest Mississippi CC, Ex-South Shore Hooper Tylik Weeks Receives California Baptist Offer


Class of 2025 Southwest Mississippi Community College (MS) forward Tylik Weeks has picked up an offer from Division I California Baptist University Men’s basketball program, yesterday the former South Shore High School player wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Additionally, the 6-foot-7, 235-pound New Yorker holds offers from Hofstra, New Mexico State, Fairfield, Gardner-Webb, Cal State Bakersfield, Texas State, Southern Miss, Queens (NC), Bowling Green, Florida A&M, among other programs, per VerbalCommits.com.

Weeks appeared in all 30 games with 28 starts with the Bears as a freshman. He averaged 17.2 points and 8.2 rebounds–both second on team–to go along with 2.1 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest. He earned MACCC Second Team All-Conference honor and was named a Fab 50 freshman.  

Weeks attended Brooklyn Theater Arts High School at South Shore in Brooklyn, where he averaged 7.7 points and 7.25 rebounds in 12 regular season PSAL games. In the playoffs, he added 19 points in seven tilts.

The Lancers, who compete in the Western Athletic Conference, are 5-4, and will travel San Diego State on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. affair.
