Flavio Jean’s Clutch Moment Leads Brooklyn Collegiate Hoops to Victory

There is no doubt that Brooklyn Collegiate senior point guard Flavio Jean is one of the better players in the Public School Athletic League (PSAL).

Last night, with three seconds remaining in the tilt and behind by two points, Jean nailed a wicked three-point shot just in front of the half court line to give the Lions (2-3) the 51-50 thrilling non-league victory over Shiloh High School (Ga.) in the 2024 Adidas Legacy Christmas Showdown in Atlanta, Georgia.

He finished with 11 points and grabbed 10 boards in the win.

Sophomore forward Shane Seymour drained a team-high 17 points with three rebounds, three assists and three blocks for the Lions. Senior forward Sheriff Akerle contributed 12 points and five boards, while senior guard Jalen Waters dropped in 10 points, dished out three helpers and made three steals.

Brooklyn Collegiate returns to the hardwood today against Cedar Grove High School (Ga.) at 2:30 p.m. in another non-league affair.
