Yankees Sign Paul Goldschmidt to a 1-Year Pact for $12.5 Million


New York Yankees, first baseman Paul Goldschmidt today agreed to one-year deal, according to MLB Network.

The pact is worth $12,5 million, and is pending a physical, per Jon Heyman of the New York Post.

Though Goldschmidt’s numbers tapered off a bit in 2024, the 37-year-old did slug 22 home runs, along with a .245 batting average, 65 RBI, .414 SLG. percentage, and 11 stolen bases in 599 at-bats in 154 games.

For his career, Goldschmidt has launched 362 longballs, drove in 1137 runs, and has a .510 SLG. percentage in 14 seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks and St. Louis Cardinals.
