Class of 2026 Stella Ziogas of New Rochelle High School (N.Y.) and Team Lightning Melious AAU put on a show, she scored 30 points, made seven steals, dished out seven assists, grabbed five rebounds and rejected two shots.
The 5-foot-6 junior point guard’s stellar performance, which also included drilling six from deep, helped guide her team to the 2024-25 North Rockland Rich Korn Holiday Girl’s basketball Tournament title.
Ziogas is a special player, as she also drained 14 points, handed out 10 assists, pulled down five boards and made two steals, in the Huguenots’ last game before the tournament, a win over Newburgh Free Academy (N.Y.).
Ziogas holds offers from Division I Rider, McNeese State, Sacred Heart, FDU, Weber State, Nichols State, Chicago State, among interest from other schools, according to her AAU coach, Dan Melious.
