New Rochelle High School (N.Y.) and Team Lighting Melious junior guard Stella Ziogas yesterday drained 24 points (six of which came via the three-pointer), grabbed six rebounds, dished out seven assists, and rejected a shot in a 58-54 loss to Grand Street Campus (NYC/PSAL) during a girl’s holiday hoops tournament.
The 5-foot-6 Ziogas is becoming more of a hardwood force day by day, as she also is a tenacious defender, evident by the eight steals she made as well.
Ziogas currently holds offers from Division I Rider, McNeese State, Sacred Heart, FDU, Weber State, Nichols State, Chicago State, among interest from other schools, according to her AAU coach, Dan Melious.
But Ziogas should garner more D1 offers, as she continues to improve physically and mentally, according to Melious.
