The Ziogas sisters, Stella and Hope, helped New Rochelle High School (N.Y.) girl’s basketball team defeat Marshall yesterday.
Stella, a junior guard who also suits up Team Lightning Melious AAU, drained 16 points, dished out 11 assists, grabbed five rebounds and made three steals, while Hope, a freshman, dropped in 12 points.
Their sister, Grace, suits up for Division II Pace University as a freshman guard.
In New York City hoops action, senior Syniya Barton, a Hofstra commit, paced Monsignor McClancy High School (Queens) with 20 points and eight boards en route to a 61-59 overtime win over Lakewood (Fla.) yesterday in the Tampa Bay Christmas Invitational.
Moore Catholic’s (Staten Island, N.Y.) Brianna Caliri scored her high school career 1,000-point Saturday at the Amsterdam High School College Showcase, where the Mavericks lost, 73-63, to Liverpool High School (N.Y.).
The senior forward reached the milestone after sinking two free throws in the fourth period.
