Blair Academy Players, Soyoye and Oliver, Earn Offers from Villanova and Canisius Hoop Programs


A pair of Blair Academy (N.J.) Boy’s basketball players — forward/center Ramon Soyoye and wing Brendan Oliver — yesterday have received offers from Villanova and Canisius Men’s basketball programs, respectively, as it was reported on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Soyoye, a 6-foot-10 class of 2025 player, also holds offers from Xavier and New Mexico State, per VerbalCommits.com, while Oliver, a 6-foot-6 senior, also holds offers Robert Morris and Howard, according to VerbalCommits.com.

Soyoye has scored 105 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in 10 games so far this season, while Oliver has dropped in 108 points and pulled down 14 boards through 10 contests.

Villanova is 10-5 overall and 3-1 in Big East Conference action. The Wildcats will host UConn at 6:30 p.m.

Canisius is 0-14 overall and 0-3 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) thus far in 2024-25.
