Morgan Lee Impresses with Career High Points in Marist Women’s Hoops Win Over Rider


6-foot-5 junior center Morgan Lee, who played high school basketball for Kent School (Ct.) and NY Hoppers AAU squad, posted a game-career-high 22 points, nine rebounds and three helpers to help pace Marist past Rider (3-13), 67-55, Saturday afternoon on the road at Alumni Gymnasium.

Senior guard Catie Cunningham, who suited up for West Genesee High School in Syracuse, New York, contributed 11 points and five boards, while junior Jackie Piddock added 10 points and three steals in the Red Foxes’ (9-8) win.

Junior forward Ciara Croker contributed eight points, three thefts and three assists in the victory.

On offensive, Marist shot 51.2 percent from the hardwood. Playing extremely tough defense, the Red Foxes forced 22 Rider turnovers.
