Junior Stella Ziogas of New Rochelle High School (N.Y.) and Team Lightning Melious AAU gifted guard will have a new home when September 2026 comes rolling around.
The 5-foot-6 dynamo has verbally committed to Division I Siena College Women’s basketball program, today she announced on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Additionally, Ziogas held offers from D-I Rider, McNeese State, Sacred Heart, FDU, Weber State, Nichols State, Chicago State, among offers and interest from other schools, according to her AAU coach, Dan Melious.
Ziogas is enjoying a stellar high school season, as she poured in 24 points (six of which came via the three-pointer), grabbed six rebounds, dished out seven assists, and rejected a shot in a 58-54 loss to Grand Street Campus (New York City) in late December.
Also, Ziogas balled out with a 30-point, seven-steal, seven- assist, five-rebound performance en route to New Rochelle capturing the 2024-25 North Rockland Rich Korn Holiday Girlβs basketball Tournament title in late December.
The Saints are 9-10 overall and 4-4 in Metro Athletic Association Conference (MAAC) action thus far this season.
