Behind 24 points from sophomore sensation Layla Wagner, Monsignor McClancy Girl’s basketball defeated St. John’s Prep (6-9), 58-46, Monday night at home in Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) action.
Wagner added five three pointers (15 of her 24 points), six assists and four steals in the big win, which snapped a five-game losing streak for the Crusaders.
McClancy (11-7) returns to action to face powerhouse Christ the King Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at home.
