The Cleburne Railroaders of the independent American Association have signed infielder Cooper Weiss, the team recently announced on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Weiss joins Cleburne after playing collegiately for Auburn, Miami of Ohio, and Coastal Carolina baseball programs.
The righty-hitting Weiss, 24, played five seasons of college baseball, batting .274 with 26 home runs and 133 RBI in 196 games.
Collegiate Baseball recognized him as a freshman All-American.
The Providence, R.I., native graduated from Canterbury School in Fort Myers, Florida, where he holds records for most career home runs and most homers in a season.
