Madison High School’s Gavin Randall Hits 1,000 Career Points in Tight Loss


Madison High School (N.J.) junior guard Gavin Randall surpassed the 1,000-point high school career scoring milestone today in a 55-53 defeat to host Newark Tech.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Randall, who also suits up the NJ Panthers AAU squad, has poured in team-bests with 490 points, 196 rebounds and 72 helpers in 24 contests so far in the 2024-25 campaign.

Currently, Randall said he does not have any offers, but has interest from Division III Ithaca, TCNJ, FDU-Florham and Catholic University.

Senior guard Malcolm Bragg drained 22 points, grabbed five rebounds, had two assists and made three steals for Newark Tech, who improved 19-4 on the season. Braggs is averaging 17.4 points per game this year. Jalen Bake contributed 14 points and seven boards in the victory.

The Dodgers (18-7) return to action Tuesday night, as they square off against 16-8 Oratory Prep.
