The Staten Island FerryHawks of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball (ALPB) have signed outfielder Nate Scantlin for another run in the Atlantic League in 2025, today the team announced on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Scantlin, 26, hit .273 after slugging career highs in hits (127) and stealing bases (30), as well as lining 23 doubles in 2024 with the FerryHawks.
A former Cincinnati Reds’ 15th round 2017 MLB Draft pick out of Rose Hill High School in Kansas, Scantlin has laced a .309 batting average over the last four years of independent minor league baseball.
During that time period, the Rose Hill, Kansas, native has suited up with Aigles de Trois-Rivières of the Frontier League, the Grand Junction Rockies of the Pioneer League, the Gary SouthShore RailCats of the American Association, and the FerryHawks.
