New Jersey native and ex-Florida Gulf Coast junior forward Blaise Vespe has entered the college basketball transfer portal today, per sports media reports.
The 6-foot-8, 220-pound Cherry Hill, New Jersey, resident red-shirted this past season, and now will have two years of college hoops eligibility remaining.
In the 2023-24 campaign, Vespe averaged 1.6 points and 1.3 rebounds per game in limited action across 21 contests.
Before college, Vespe spent a postgraduate season at the renowned IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, in 2021-22. Also, he suited up for his junior and senior prep seasons at the highly acclaimed Neumann-Goretti Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also played for St. Augustine Prep in Richland, New Jersey.
Someone with a solid athletic pedigree, Blaise’s dad Will Vespe played baseball collegiate baseball at Miami University and professionally in the Cleveland Indians organization.
