Long Island City’s Billy Fuiaxis Commits to Nassau CC Football


Billy Fuiaxis of Long Island City High School (Queens, N.Y.) has verbally committed to Nassau Community College football program (JUCO), today he announced on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In addition to the Nassau Community College offer, Fuiaxis, a senior running back, wide receiver, and linebacker, held offers from St. Thomas Aquinas College’s sprint football and Division III Hartwick football programs.

Fuiaxis made his presence known by scoring five times on the ground while pulling down three touchdown passes during the 2024 regular season. He also returned eight kickoffs for 289 yards (36.13 average).

Then, the senior returned three more kickoffs for 122 yards (40.67 average), with two going all the way for TDs in the Public School Athletic League (PSAL) playoffs.

Also, Fuiaxis, a captain during his senior year, threw for a TD in the post-season. Defensively, he made 29 tackles in the 2024-25 campaign.

The Lions posted a 3-7 mark, competing in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 15 division in the 2024-25 season.
