The Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), one of Canada’s three major junior ice hockey leagues, today have selected goaltender New Jersey goaltender Mason Hriczov in the 13 round, 262 overall, of the 2025 OHL Priority Selection Draft.
Hriczov played for the New Jersey Rockets 15U AAA team in the Tier 1 Hockey Federation (THF) and Morristown Beard School (N.J.) this past seasons.
Hriczov posted an impressive 6-1-2 mark, a 1.86 goals-against average (GAA), and a .891 save percentage in nine regular season contests with the Rockets in the 2024-25 season. The 6-foot, 194 pounder also went 5-0-0 with a stellar 0.40 (GAA) and a .978 save percentage during the playoffs.
Additionally, the North Caldwell, N.J., native suited up for the Morristown Beard School Crimson, putting up a 16-3-1 record, a 1.57 (GAA), and a .930 save percentage in 20 games in the 2024-25 New Jersey High School campaign.
