All-Star Infielder Justin Wylie Joins Ghost Peppers Again


The Gastonia Ghost Peppers are bringing back All-Star infielder Justin Wylie for the upcoming 2025 independent Atlantic League season, today general manager Brady Salisbury announced on X.

With a great combination of speed and power, Wylie clubbed a team-best 34 home runs and drove in 84 runs while stealing 24 bags in 120 games last season for the Ghost Peppers. He became the third player in Atlantic League history to join the 30-20 club.

Before turning professional, the 28-year-old attended San Diego State University and the University of Arizona and suited up in independent ball in 2019 for the Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers of the United States Baseball League (USBL). 

Additionally, the Chandler, Arizona, native played in the Frontier League (New Jersey Jackals) and American Association (Kansas City Monarchs) from 2021-2023. 

Gastonia opens up the year this Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Caromont Health Park against the York Revolution.
