Florida A&M’s New Talent: Anquan Boldin Jr. Joins for Upcoming Hoops Season


Former Buffalo guard Anquan Boldin, Jr. is transferring to Florida A&M, where Charlie Ward, an ex-NBA player, will be the new head coach this upcoming season, yesterday FloridaHoops.com announced on X.

Boldin, Jr., a rising junior, averaged 25.3 minutes, 7.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game this past campaign for the Bulls. He suited up for two years with Buffalo.

The 6-foot-4, 194-pound Delray Beach, Fla., native held offers from Barry, Lynn, Albany State, Metro State, Manhattan and Eastern Michigan, according to VerbalCommits.com, before committing to the Upstate New York college.

Bolding, Jr. is the son of Anquan Boldin senior, who played 14 seasons for four NFL teams, including the Cardinals and Ravens. A gifted receiver, he had a total of 1,076 catches for 13,779 yards while scoring 83 touchdowns. Also, he was a three-time Pro Bowler.

Florida A&M posted a 13-6 record and went 10-8 in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) action in the 2024-25 campaign.
