Rising Standout Lauren Leon Secures D3 Basketball Offer from Meredith

Lauren Leon of Brewster High School (N.Y.) and Team Lightning Melious has picked up an offer from Division III Meredith College Women’s basketball program, today her AAU coach Dan Melious wrote on X.

In addition to the Fallen Angels’ offer, Leon, a 5-foot-9 rising junior guard, holds an offer from NAIA Life University, per her X account.

Leon is presently enjoying a solid spring AAU season with the Lightning, using her toughness, knockdown shooting skills, and ability to play defense to make a name for herself, according to Melious.

Meredith posted an 8-17 overall record and went 5-11 in USA South Conference action in the 2024-25 campaign.
