The Boston Red Sox have purchased the contract of New York Boulders left-handed relief pitcher PJ Labriola, today the independent Frontier League announced via X.
Labriola recorded a save in three innings of work in three appearances with the Boulders this season.
The 24-year-old suited up for Clemson University and North Carolina State University and spent a summer with the Fredrick Keys of the Major League Baseball Draft league (MLBD), where he went 1-0 with five strikeouts in five frames without allowing a run before turning professional.
Then, Labriola pitched in six contests for the Rocky Mountain Vibes of the Frontier League in 2024.
He played baseball for Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School in Sarasota, Florida, before attended college.
