Class of 2027 wide receiver/safety Tyshawn ”TJ” Bailey, Jr. of Newark Central High School (N.J.) has picked up an offer from Delaware State University’s football program, who compete in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision level, he recently wrote on X.
Additionally, the 6-foot-1, 172-pound Bailey currently holds DI offers from Memphis, Howard, Wofford, and Temple, according to his X account.
At Newark Central, Bailey, who is a growing talent, caught seven passes for 119 yards and a touchdown. On defense, he made a total of 54 tackles this past season.
The Hornets posted a 1-11 overall record and went 0-5 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) action in the 2024-25 campaign.
