Brooklyn Collegiate point guard Flavio Jean and forward Sheriff Akerele have made it official by verbally committing to perennial JUCO powerhouse Vincennes University Men’s basketball program, today their high school hoops program announced on X.
Flavio excelled as a Lion, draining over 1000 points, grabbing over 600 rebounds, and dishing out more than 400 assists in during his high school career. Additionally, he holds a 3.4 GPA and was a four-year captain at the school
Meanwhile, the 6-foot-5 Akerele averaged 11.6 points, 8.9 boards, and a helper in 12 regular seasons games in 2024-25. In the post-season, the rebounding force averaged 17.50 boards and 14.0 points per contests in two tilts.
Both players suited up for Cm3 17U AAU squad.
The Trailblazers posted a 28-5 overall record and went 16-0 in National Junior College Athletic Assocation (NJCAA) Division I Region 24 action in the 2024-25 campaign.
