Nahseem Deas, former quarterback at Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, has picked up an offer from Division I LIU Sharks football program, today he wrote on X.
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Deas was not part of Bethune-Cookman’s roster last season, but did not appear in any games. Therefore, he has four years of eligibility remaining as a red- shirted freshman.
Additionally, he holds offers from DII colleges Shaw and Kentucky State, per his X account.
Deas, who also ran track in high school, completed 62 of 82 passes for 854 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for 314 yards on 45 carries with eight scores during his senior year. He also threw for five touchdowns and found the end zone on the ground three times in two playoff games, according to PSAL.org.
LIU posted a 4-8 overall mark and went 3-3 in Northeast Conference (NEC) play in the 2024-25 campaign.
