Pennington’s Joshua Benka-Coker Receives First D1 Offer from Pepperdine Hoops


Class of 2027 Pennington School (N.J.) forward Joshua Benka-Coker has received an offer from Division I Pepperdine Men’s basketball program, yesterday he wrote on X.

The Waves’ offer is the first for the 6-foot-8 player who transferred from Bethlehem Catholic and reclassified into the 2027 class.

Benka-Coker also suits up for NY Renaissance AAU squad and earned the 2023-2024 Defensive Player of the Year Award while playing for Bethlehem Catholic as a freshman.

He poured in 249 points and grabbed a team-leading 255 rebounds this past season.

Pepperdine put up a 13-22 overall record and went 4-14 in West Coast Conference action in the 2024-25 campaign.
