With the help of two New Jersey female basketball players–Olivia Miles and Hannah Hidalgo–Team USA cruised past host nation Chile in a lopsided 108-47 win yesterday in the final game of the opening day in the FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2025.
But it was Raegan Beers (Oklahoma Sooners/Valor Christian High School), who led the charge for the Americans with 22 points and seven rebounds, shooting nine-of-12 from the field.
In addition to Beers’ stellar performance, Hidalgo (Notre Dame/Paul VI High School) poured in 14 points, grabbed three rebounds, and had four assists, while Miles (TCU Horned Frogs/Blair Academy) –a Summit, N.J., native–added six points, four boards, and seven helpers in the victory.
