Mavs Elite Takedown Lightning Melious in OT at Hoosier Heat Hoops Tournament

Two very talented girl’s AAU teams –Team Lightning Melious and Mavs Elite MTP– battled it out today in a thrilling tilt.

It went to overtime, with the Mavs coming from behind for the 49-47 victory in the Hoosier Heat Girl’s hoops tournament during the Under Armour July live period at the Pacer Center in Westfield, Indiana.

Lauren Leon, a 5-foot-9 rising junior guard who plays at Brewster High School in N.Y., paced the Lightning with 17 points, seven rebounds and made three thefts. Giada ‘G’ Celetti, a 6-foot-1 rising senior forward at Saddle River Day (N.J.), had a double-double of 12 points and 19 boards, and also made five blocks on the defensive end of the hardwood.
