After receiving several offers, rising senior cornerback/wide receiver Sonny Arden of Chatham High School (N.J.) football team has committed to admission process at Division III Carnegie Mellon University football program, today he announced via X.
Arden went on to express gratitude to all the people that assisted him in his football journey, as well as in his academic pursuit.
“I want to thank my family and coaches who have helped me get to where I am today, as well as the Carnegie Mellon coaching staff for this incredible opportunity,” Adren wrote on X.
Additionally, Arden held offers from Tufts, Hamilton, Amherst, Colby, Wesleyan Gettysburg, and Washington, per previous stories I have written.
Arden caught 29 passes for 347 yards with two touchdowns on offense. Defensively, he performed even better, recording 20 overall tackles, forcing one fumble, recovering one fumble, blocking two kicks, and making two interceptions.
Moreover, Arden is an outstanding student who sports a impressive 1400 SAT score and a fantastic 4.5 GPA.
Carnegie Mellon put up a 10-2 mark and went 9-1 in University Athletic Association (UAA) action in the 2024 campaign.
