Canisius University Men’s Division I basketball program has offered a pair of college prospects: class of 2026 forward/wing Mabor Riak, and rising sophomore guard Dwayne Ruffin, Jr., both players recently wrote on X.
The 6-foot-7 Riak, who plays for CATS Academy (Mass.) and Team New England Basketball Club, holds an offer from Fairfield, while the 5-foot-8, 140-pound Ruffin, Jr., who suits up for Roman Catholic High School (Pa.) and New Heights 3ssb, has picked up his first D1 offer, per source.
Riak owns a top-notch scoring ability, a sharp defensive prowess, and sweet rebounding skills due to his nice size.
As for Ruffin, Jr., he is an elusive guard with a soft shooting touch as he glides to the basket. Plus, he has a nice outside jumper, especially from beyond the arc. Furthermore, it is not hard to believe that he will gain weight and strength as his game and age progresses.
The Golden Griffins posted a 3-28 overall record and went 3-17 in Metro Atlantic Athletic (MAAC) action in the 2024-25 season.
