5-foot-10 guard Giovanna Burress of DePaul Catholic High School (N.J.) and Philly Rise EYBL 16U squad has received an offer from Division I University of Notre Dame Women’s basketball program, yesterday she wrote on X.
The Fighting Irish offer comes on the heels of Rhode Island extended an offer to Burress just days ago. Plus, Illinois, Syracuse, Fordham, Ohio State, Rutgers, Michigan State, Georgia, Miami, and Fairfield all have offered the dynamic play-making rising sophomore, according to her X account.
Burress, a three-sport athlete (soccer and flag football), poured in 436 points, grabbed 115 rebounds, dished out 51 assists, and made 61 steals in 23 games played this past season.
The Fighting Irish posted a 15-18 overall record in the 2024-25 campaign.
