Infielder Connor Maryniak of the Trenton Thunder (MLB Draft League) has earned the club’s Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Player of the Week award, yesterday the team announced via X.
Maryniak, 22, stroked .412 with seven hits, 13 total bases, two home runs, five runs scored, four RBI, and a 1.239 OPS in five games this past week.
The Reading, Pa., native suited up for the Division I University of North Carolina (UNC) Charlotte, where he batted .259 with 11 longballs and 37 RBI to go along with a slash line of .364/.458/.822 in 216 at-bats in 58 contests as a senior in the 2025 campaign.
Maryniak has also played for DIII Misericordia University for three years.
He enjoyed a banner year at Misericordia, as the NCAA Division III named him the 2024 NCAA the Player of the Year and a First Team All-American while taking home First Team All-MAC Freedom and MAC Freedom Player of the Year honors to go along with ABCA and D3Baseball.com All-Region accolades.
