Top Rhode Island Guard Diing Maiwen Receives First Division I Offer from TSU Basketball


Class of 2026 The Knox School (Saint James N.Y.) and Rhode Elite Island guard/forward Diing Maiwen has received an offer from Division I Tennessee State University (TSU) Men’s basketball program, his AAU team recently posted on X.

The Tigers’ offer is the first DI offer for the 6-foot-6, 180-pound combo guard from Auburn, Maine, who has reclassified in the 2026 class and will be partaking in a post-graduate year with the Knox School in 2025-26. He had enjoyed a lot of success on the AAU PRO16 Live Period circuit, according to hoop reports.

TSU posted a 17-16 overall record and went 12-8 in Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) action in the 2024-25 season.
