Chatham High School (N.J.) Football’s Charlie Murray’s recruitment is starting to heat up, as he has picked up an offer from Division III Denison University football program, today he wrote on X.
If Murray decides to go with Big Red, it will hold a roster spot for him in 2026.
Denison’s offer was the fourth for Murray, a 5-foot-10, 205-pound rising senior linebacker/tight end who made 66 tackles (second on the Cougars), five of which went for a loss last year.
In addition to the Big Red offer, he holds ones from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Rochester, and Ursinus College, per his X account.
Additionally, he is a strong student-athlete who displays impressive lower body strength by squatting 455 pounds, and benches 270 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.77 seconds.
Murray is a good combination of power, speed, and athletic ability, not to mention his excellent academic prowess. He has earned induction into the National Honor Society (NHS) during his junior year.
Plus, he is a dedicated member of Chatham’s St. Patrick Youth Ministry (SYPM) Church program, actively leading and supporting others—especially his peers—in becoming more engaged, caring, and responsible Catholic citizens.
Denison posted a 6-4 overall record and went 6-2 in North Coastal Athletic Conference (NCAC) action in the 2024-25 campaign.
