Syracuse University Orange Division I Men’s basketball program has offered of a pair of Pennsylvania class of 2028 high school guards–Carter Smith and Nico Antoniacci–yesterday the duo wrote on their respective X accounts.
Smith picked up his first offer, while Antoniacci holds ones from Manhattan and Penn State, according to VerbalCommits.com.
Additionally, Smith, a 6-foot-4 guard, attends Penn Charter and also suits up for Team Final Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) AAU squad, and Antoniacci, a 6-foot-2 combo guard, plays for Riverside Junior/Senior High School and NEPA Elite 17U HGSL Dempsey.
High School basketball scouts are high on Smith, who owns a sweet, soft shooting touch to go along with impressive athleticism. Plus, his ever-improving ability to finish after absorbing contact.
As for Antoniacci, he averaged 27.8 points, four rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, as well as 56 percent from the floor and 41 percent from beyond the arc (18 threes) in four games at the Hoop Group Summer Jam Fest, per his account.
The Orange posted a 14-19 overall record and went 11-6 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) action in the 2024-25 campaign.
