Texas Tailgaters’ Megan Wiggins Hits Milestone in Banana Ball

After the Texas Tailgaters signed her at the beginning of August, yesterday Megan Wiggins made good and picked up first hit in her Banana Ball League career in front of 40,000 fans in PNC Park.

Additionally, an accomplished softball player, Wiggins is a three-time National Professional Fastpitch (NPF) League champion, seven-time NPF All-Star Team selection, three-time NPF Home Run champion, and also holds the All-Time home run record for professional softball.

Wiggins, a University of Georgia alum, is an entrepreneur and altruistic, socially conscience person, as she is the owner of The Peaches summer collegiate team and the founder of The Peaches Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to positively foster and encourage growth in the softball community for all ages and backgrounds.
