Abdel Gudalupe Earns Frontier League Player of the Week


The Frontier League, an MLB partner league, has dubbed Sussex County Miners (N.J.) utility player Abdel Gudalupe as its Player of the Week, today the association has announced on X.

Gudalupe, 28, finished the year with a .297 average with one home run, 28 RBI, 23 walks and a .378 OBP in 195 at bats in 54 games.

The Miners finished with a 53-45 and clinched the Atlantic Conference East Division title.

Sussex will face host Tri-City ValleyCats in the first round of the Frontier League’s Atlantic Conference Wild Card best-of-three playoff series tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. at Joesph L. Bruno Stadium.
