Jacob Reimer: Mets’ Minor League Star of the Week


Binghamton Rumble Ponies infielder Jacob Reimer enjoyed a fantastic week, racking up nine hits, six of which were extra base hits, with a .474 batting average and a 1.419 OPS, helping him earned the Mets’ Minor League Player of the Week accolade, according to Mets Player Deveolpment’s X account.

Reimer–New York’s No. 6 rated prospect, per MLB.com–is hitting .286 with 17 home runs and 74 RBI while slashing .386/ .513/.899 in 409 at-bats in 112 games between two stops, the other being High-A Brooklyn Cyclones, so far this season.

The Mets selected the 21-year-old in the 4th round of the 2022 MLB June Amateur Draft from Yucaipa High School (Yucaipa, CA).
