Tre Paulding: High Academic Student-Athlete with D1 Basketball Talent Gets Cornell Basketball Offer

Class of 2026 Lee’s Summit North High School (Mo.) guard/forward Tre Paulding has received an offer from Division I Cornell University Men’s basketball program, yesterday he wrote on X.

Additionally, the 6-foot-5, 200-pounder also holds offers from DII Washburn and Rockhurst, according to VerbalCommits.com.

A three-level scorer, Paulding can drop buckets with either hand and is also a solid rebounder. Plus, he is becoming an increasingly consistent scorer.

More importantly, though, Paulding is a high academic student-athlete who sports a 4.2 GPA (weighted) and 27 ACT score.

Big Red posted an 18-11 overall record and went 9-5 in Ivy League Conference play in the 2024-25 campaign.
