Former Wings Academy Standout Diovion Famakinde Picks Up Alabama A and M Hoops Offer


Former Wings Academy (Bronx, NY) and East Mississippi Community College (JUCO) shooting guard/forward Diovion Famakinde has earned an offer from Division I Alabama A&M Men’s basketball program, he recently wrote on X.

Additionally, the 6-foot-4, 224-pound Brooklyn, N.Y., native currently holds offers from Georgia Southern, Louisiana Tech, and Jacksonville State, according to VerbalCommits.com.

Famakinde, a third-year college student-athlete, spent last season with Olney Community College (Ill.), averaging 14.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game in seven contests.

Before that, he suited up for the University of Buffalo Bulls (N.Y.) as a freshman.

Famakinde also played high school basketball for Hargrave Military Academy (Va.), and AAU hoops for the Pro Scholars Athletics (PSA) Cardinals.

The Bulldogs posted a 10-22 mark and went 6-12 in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) action in the 2024-25 campaign.
